Suiseki — Stones and Silences

Twenty ash-glazed stoneware pieces, set down like found stones, where the gesture gives way to the material. Michiko Sarashina fires with wood: the flame decides the colour, the ash deposit decides the surface.

The hang follows the eye line of a seated viewer. Labels are on the wall, never on the plinths.
