Han Seo-yeon
née en 1983 à Séoul, KR

Biography
Han Seo-yeon works white stoneware and crackled glaze. Her vessels draw on a Korean tradition she never quotes directly: she keeps its proportion and loses its ornament. Trained in Seoul and then in Icheon, she set up her studio in Gyeonggi province in 2012. The crackle is no accident; she provokes it, slows it down, and reads it again in raking light during the days that follow the firing. Since 2020 she has cut her vocabulary back to three forms, which she takes up season after season. She showed in Paris for the first time in 2024. The gallery represents her for Europe.
